TAAIF 2nd EC Meeting Focuses on Trade Development and Future Initiatives

The Tamilnadu Automobile and Allied Industries Federation (TAAIF) recently conducted its 2nd Executive Committee Meeting at Namakkal on May 17, 2026. The meeting was hosted by the Namakkal Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association (NMSPDA) and saw the participation of over 150 TAAIF members from across the State.

Speaking on the occasion, A. Gopalakrishnan, President of TAAIF, said, “We conveyed our best wishes to the new Tamil Nadu government and Hon’ble Thiru C. Joseph Vijay. We have also submitted a wish-list on behalf of those involved in the automobile trade and hope for a positive response from the government.”

He further said, “TAAIF is taking steps to establish an Auto Nagar and we have sought the support of the State government for this initiative. We are hopeful that the project will soon become a reality.”

Highlighting another major initiative, Gopalakrishnan said, “We are upgrading the TAAIF website by introducing an e-commerce platform for the buying and selling of automobile spare parts. The work is progressing in full swing and we expect the website to become operational soon. This initiative will greatly benefit everyone in the trade.”

He also appealed to automobile manufacturers to support families involved in the automobile spare parts business by offering employment opportunities. “This is a humble request to automobile manufacturers and we hope they will come forward to provide jobs on a priority basis,” he added.

Other TAAIF office-bearers present at the meeting included S. V. Thangam, Secretary, R. V. Ramanathan, Treasurer, N.Nagarajan, Vice President- I and K.Varadharajan, Vice President-II.

NMSPDA office-bearers present on the occasion included K. Suresh Kumar, President, S. Stalin, Secretary, and S. Chandramohan, Treasurer.
