M. R. Shah Group is adding double-tank LNG-powered heavy-duty trucks from Blue Energy Motors (BEM) to its freight operations. The trucks will carry non-hazardous chemicals from Kutch to destinations across North India. The release does not say how many trucks have been ordered.

BEM says the double-tank trucks have a range of up to 2,400 km on a single fill, which cuts refuelling stops on long routes. It also says they can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 30% compared with diesel trucks.
“Blue Energy Motors LNG double-tank trucks offer the range required for our operations from Kutch to North India, while supporting reliable transportation and better fleet utilisation,” said Mr. Archit Agrawal, Director, M. R. Shah Group.
Mr. Anand Mimani, CEO, EV & New Energy Business, Blue Energy Motors, said the adoption “reflects a forward-looking approach to freight operations, where operational efficiency and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.”
BEM says it has over 1,400 green heavy-duty trucks, electric and LNG-powered, on Indian roads. It says they have covered more than 150 million green kilometres and reduced CO2 emissions by more than 44,000 tonnes, which it equates to the carbon absorbed by about 1.8 million trees.
