HOV Auto Ltd., an emerging component supplier to the Indian trailer industry, took advantage of the Auto Expo (Components) this year for pan-India exposure and wider target audience, including OEM and aftermarket clients. This was perhaps the first national-level platform the Gurugram-headquartered company participated in and exhibited its products since its debut in July last year.
“Established last year, our brand is now widely accepted in the Rajasthan and the northern region. At Auto Expo 2018, we are overwhelmed with a large number of foot fall and client enquiries from across the country, including Central, East and South India”, exclaimed Mr. Shankar R, Vice-President – Sales (OEM). “We are extremely happy to interact with and display our products with a host of established OEM players in the trailer and trucking sector. With the larger-than-ever footfall and client enquiries, this was one of the best auto expos in a decade or so,” he observed.
The company launched two new products at the expo – car carrier trailer axle and trailer axle with integrated hub assembly. HOV Auto says that with a lot more standardization and regulation happening in the specialized motor carrier trailer segment, there arises increased awareness and demand for robust and quality axles that offer enhanced load capacity and safety. GST is also boosting long-distance haulage in a big way, so motor carrier manufacturing in the Rajasthan and Haryana region is flourishing to a great extent. And, hence the company is ready with the trailer axle system tailor-made for car carriers.
The new axle with integrated hub assembly for trailer is claimed as a ‘fit and forget’ product with oil lubrication for wheel hub bearings as long as quality and quantity meets company recommendation no need to change oil. It is designed to meet the operational conditions of India, as a cost-effective solution to the entire spectrum of trailer making, including the organized OEMs.
With this, HOV Auto’s product range count at five, including the regular trailer axle, S Cam brake assembly and the mechanical suspension for trailers.
Asked about the sales performance over the past six months since its debut, HOV Auto seemed quite overwhelmed with the reception of its products among target customers. “Orders for trailer axles and brake assemblies are more than encouraging, and we are quite bullish about country-wide business opportunities that are picking up post GST”, says Mr. Samir Bhargava, General Manager of HOV (Sales and Service). In fact, bookings have even overtaken our supply capacity for the months of February and March, he adds.
With a newly-built, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Gujarat Industrial Zone, HOV Auto has already established a sales & distribution network in all four regions of the country, along with service centres equipped with expert technical support to provide assistance to its customers. “Rigorous quality control is adhered to as a key focus in our manufacturing, so as to bring forth flawless products of international quality, which is repeatedly appreciated by our customers”, declares Mr. Shankar R, when asked about the USP of HOV trailer components.
