German-Indian JV – BOS-JRG Automotive Systems Eyes $15M Revenue in Five Years

JRG Automotive Industries India Pvt. Ltd. and BOS GmbH & Co. KG of Germany have announced the formation of BOS-JRG Automotive Systems Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture combining German engineering with Indian manufacturing to serve the growing Indian automotive market.

The venture will produce advanced automotive shading and cargo management systems, starting with Side Window Sunshades and Tonneau Covers. BOS holds a 60% stake in the partnership, with JRG holding the remaining 40%.

Operations have begun with an initial investment of over $1 million, and series production is scheduled to commence in December 2026. The company targets revenues exceeding $15 million over the next five years, backed by localisation efforts, technology transfer, and partnerships with leading passenger vehicle OEMs in India.

Mr. Pawan Goyal, Managing Director of JRG Automotive Industries India Pvt. Ltd., described the tie-up as reflecting “a shared vision of building a world-class automotive systems company in India, combining global technology, strong localisation and a commitment to long-term value creation for customers.”

Mr. Nicolaus Francke, Director of BOS-JRG Automotive Systems Pvt. Ltd., added that the joint venture represents “a strategic step towards bringing global innovation closer to the Indian market, creating a strong foundation for sustainable growth, localisation and future mobility solutions.”
