After Cars, Anand Motor Products Steers Towards Europe’s Truck Market

Anand Motor Products (AMP) has built a strong business supplying the car segment in Europe. Now it wants to do the same for trucks. At IAA Transportation 2026, the Gurgaon-based company was looking for commercial vehicle customers in Europe, in both the original equipment (OE) and aftermarket segments.

“We are well settled in the car segment in Europe,” said Mr. Rahul Pai, Manager, Exports, AMP. “But we have no business for the commercial vehicle trucks.” Finding good leads in that segment was the main reason for attending the show.

The company is no stranger to commercial vehicles. It already supplies them in India, and in North America it serves both vehicle makers and the aftermarket. Its commercial vehicle range includes engine mounts, transmission mounts, cabin mounts, bushings for leaf and parabolic springs, torque rods and bolsters.

In Europe, AMW is open to working across both light and heavy-duty vehicles, from large vans to big trucks and tippers. Mr. Pai was realistic about the challenges. European trucks differ from those in other markets in loading capacity, driving conditions and specifications, so products need adaptation. With the right partner to guide it, or with OEM sample parts to study and reverse-engineer, the company can develop its own product range to suit European needs, he said.

The company has the set-up to move quickly. Its integrated campus in Gurgaon handles rubber mixing and moulding, stamping and sheet-metal work all in-house. It develops its own rubber compounds, and its in-house R&D centre tests parts and benchmarks them against OEM samples. This means it can respond to new enquiries fast, an important advantage when time to market matters, he added.
