The commercial vehicle industry is entering a decade where safety, operational efficiency and total lifecycle value will define purchasing decisions more than acquisition cost alone. He also emphasised that safety will remain the industry’s highest priority. As better highways enable higher average vehicle speeds, demand for advanced braking systems, stable running gear and intelligent safety technologies will grow significantly. The industry’s focus, he noted, will move beyond regulatory compliance towards preventing accidents and protecting lives through stronger collaboration between manufacturers, suppliers, fleet operators and regulators.
