India’s road transport and specialised heavy mobility sector is entering a period of significant transformation. With over three decades of engineering specialised hydraulic modular trailers and heavy transport solutions in India, Tratec Engineers has witnessed the industry’s evolution firsthand, and it believes the coming years will be among its most defining.
PM Gati Shakti and the National Logistics Policy will accelerate Over Dimensional Cargo movement, driving demand for specialised transport solutions. Renewable energy growth, particularly larger wind turbine components, will remain a key driver. The industry is advancing toward self-propelled mobility and electric-hybrid technologies, while sustainability demands lighter, more efficient solutions. India’s indigenous defence manufacturing focus will further strengthen the need for specialised heavy mobility solutions.

Founded in 1995, Tratec Engineers has built two dedicated brands — BHIM for hydraulic heavy transport solutions and DEFTEC for defence mobility. Beginning as India’s hydraulic modular axle manufacturing pioneers, the company developed India’s first Self-Propelled Hydraulic Trailer and longest Wind Blade Carrier. Every solution is engineered entirely in-house, reflecting three decades of indigenous innovation. “For us, Make in India is not a slogan — it is our founding principle,” he emphasised.
