Reinforcing its commitment to customer support, road safety, and fleet performance, York Transport Equipment recently organized a comprehensive Driver Training and Preventive Maintenance Camp at BKD Transport (Braja Kumar Das Transport) in Sambalpur.

The event was conducted under the supervision of York’s service team and witnessed active participation from over 100 drivers. The programme was attended by York Service Engineers Rabindra Moharana and Virendra Sande, along with Sumit Das, Managing Director of BKD Transport.
BKD Transport has recently expanded its fleet with the addition of 100 new trailers equipped with York RB15 axles and TA Z2 air suspension systems, reflecting the company’s confidence in York’s reliable and advanced trailer technology.
As part of the programme, York experts conducted detailed training sessions covering preventive maintenance practices, trailer inspection procedures, and operational best practices. Drivers were educated on the importance of regular maintenance checks, correct operating procedures, and the early identification of potential issues that could impact vehicle performance and safety.

A key highlight of the event was the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of 100 newly delivered trailers, ensuring that each trailer met York’s stringent quality and performance standards before entering commercial service.
During the interactive sessions, drivers received practical guidance on maintaining critical trailer components, including axles, air suspension systems, braking systems, wheel-end assemblies, and other safety-related parts. The training emphasised daily inspection routines, proper handling techniques, and preventive measures aimed at reducing downtime, improving tyre life, and enhancing overall fleet efficiency.
Speaking on the occasion, the York team highlighted that well-trained drivers play a crucial role in maximising trailer performance and ensuring road safety. Through regular awareness programmes and technical training initiatives, York continues to empower fleet operators and drivers with the knowledge required to achieve higher reliability, improved operational efficiency, and lower operating costs.

The Driver Training Camp at BKD Transport serves as another example of York’s commitment to delivering value beyond products by providing technical expertise, hands-on support, and customer-focused service. Such initiatives help strengthen customer partnerships while contributing to safer and more efficient transportation operations across India.
With technology, training, and service excellence at its core, York remains committed to helping fleets operate safely, efficiently, and reliably on every journey.
