Having grown on the back of its in-house R&D team, both in terms of software and hardware development, Vamosys has tasted tremendous success in the short span of four years. Headquartered in Chennai, the company has offices in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Tirupathy, and Hongkong. Manivannan added: “Over the past few years we have had our solutions being accepted in over 70,000 plus vehicles. We are exporting our software’s to six-plus countries abroad and also boasts of many reputed clients from India like TVS Logistics. A few of our devices are AIS 140 approved, certified from ARAI. Apart from the logistics company, we are discussing with a couple of OEMs currently.”

Vamosys fuel management solution is pretty comprehensive too. “Our advanced fuel level sensors are sufficiently precise to detect tiny changes. For instance, if a vehicle requires 5000 litres a month and if the fuel quantity and usage vary on another refill, the fuel management system will exactly tell the operator where the pilferage is happening or the usage is increasing. We give a complete solution, including installation and monitoring at the initial cost of Rs. 20,000 for the first year. Second-year onwards, there will be a renewal cost of Rs. 3,000. However, the cost-saving for the operators is many times more the acquisition cost. We have received feedback from the client that, after installing the fuel sensors the fleet operators are able to save 15,000 rupees per month per vehicle! So just imagine the return on investment they receive,” he expressed.

Vamosys, that was awarded as the entrepreneur of the year in 2018 is optimistic about the potential the Indian bus market as well as the entire vehicle industry offers. “Our system will work as a Company Secretary or as an Operational / Fleet Manager. It will identify the fault and give the report to the concerned person. Big data analysis is the next big thing and we are working towards it,” he stated. Apart from the technical services Vamosys also extends value-added services pertaining to driver training. The Co-Founder informed: “We have found out during one of our researches that basic safety-related education will play an important role in reducing road accidents. With our initiative, if we are even able to reduce the rate of accidents to 50 per cent the subsequent results will save the effect it has on our GDP by improving the stats by 2 per cent.”
