Spotlight on BS-VI compliant products at Amalgamations Group pavilion

The Amalgamations Group, one of the leading engineering conglomerates in the country, is all set to showcase its capability and technical know-how in the form of products developed to meet the stringent BS-VI emission norms. The Group, which has a rich portfolio of auto ancillaries, has committed its expertise and strengths to achieve greater emission control for a cleaner & greener planet, increased durability, downsizing for weight reduction, lowering fuel consumption through innovative design and reduced friction.

At Stall 12 in Hall 12, the following companies from the Amalgamations stable will be presenting their new products and futuristic innovations, many of them catering to the upcoming BS-VI emission norms.

Simpson & Co. Ltd. is a manufacturer of high performance, water-cooled diesel engines ranging from 8 to 100.5 bhp. The company has manufactured more than two million engines for 200 and more applications. Its engines serve power needs in agriculture, industrial, genset and marine industries.

Tractor & Farm Equipment Ltd. (TAFE) is one of the top five tractor manufacturers in the world. It has collaborated with Massey Ferguson; now AGCO Corporation. Apart from tractors, TAFE has separate divisions to make spiral bevel gears, hydraulic pumps and cylinders for stationary, on-road and off-road applications. TAFE’s engineering plastics division enables light-weighting of products through engineering thermos-plastics.  Tafe Motors and Tractors Ltd. (TMTL) makes engines and transmission components for Eicher line of tractors.

India Pistons (IPL) will present its range of pistons, piston rings, gudgeon pins and cylinder liners. IPL holds leadership status in domestic automotive market and is fast expanding its customer base with scaled-up performances.

IP Rings will be displaying steel piston rings and orbital cold formed (OCF) transmission components that enjoy wide acceptance among OEMs and in the aftermarket.

Bimetal Bearings’ products such as engine bearings, bushes, thrust washers, copper alloy powder and sintered strips and BBL Daido’s steel-back polymer-layered bushings, engine bearings and thrust washers will also be part of the Amalgamation’s Pavilion.

Amalgamations Repco makes clutch cover assemblies and driven plates, flywheels and starter ring gears for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and tractors. It caters to major OEMs like Ashok Leyland, TAFE and Eicher and enjoys a strong brand presence in the aftermarket.

While seven of its companies will be exhibiting at the show, the Amalgamations Group is home to a total of 46 companies in all. The Group has 50 manufacturing plants and 15,000 employees and has ventured into diverse verticals such as manufacturing, trading & distribution, plantations and services. It has several global collaborations and is known for its capability to come up with new technologies and solutions in line with market evolution and demand.
