The automotive manufacturing industry is entering one of its most transformative decades. By 2030, paint shops—which traditionally account for nearly 60–70% of the energy consumption within a vehicle manufacturing facility—will become the primary focus for sustainability, digitalisation, and operational excellence.

From a global perspective, geopolitical uncertainties and evolving environmental regulations are encouraging manufacturers to localise supply chains while investing in highly efficient, low-carbon manufacturing technologies. India is uniquely positioned to emerge as a global manufacturing hub, supported by the “Make in India” initiative, rapid EV adoption, and increasing investments from global automotive manufacturers.
