The Busworld India Conclave 2026 held in New Delhi emerged as a key meeting ground for the country’s bus and public mobility ecosystem, bringing together OEMs, operators, technology providers, policymakers and emerging startups under one roof. For companies like Masstrans, the conclave served not just as a networking platform but also as a reflection of how rapidly the Indian bus industry is evolving with electrification, digitalisation and intelligent mobility solutions.

Speaking to MOTORINDIA at the event, Ms. Jayanti Jain, Director, Masstrans, highlighted the importance of such forums in helping stakeholders understand market direction, customer expectations and future technology trends.
“The bus industry is a very close-knit industry with limited players, but today with EVs and new startups entering the ecosystem, events like Busworld become extremely important to understand what is changing in the market,” said Ms. Jain.
She added that the conclave also enables companies to better understand the vision and priorities of customers, competitors and technology partners alike.
Technology & Safety
While technology adoption in buses is increasing rapidly, Ms. Jain believes that safety must remain at the centre of public mobility discussions. “Public transport carries millions of people every day. Even though buses are becoming more intelligent with advanced IT systems, safety still remains one of the most critical aspects,” she noted.
Masstrans showcased a wide range of products at the event, including passenger information systems, IT-enabled solutions, 360-degree camera systems, blind spot detection systems and advanced digital display interfaces for buses.
One of the company’s focus areas was modular digital displays that can transform the aesthetics and functionality of bus interiors by replacing conventional physical switches with touchscreen-based controls integrated with the vehicle’s CAN system. According to Ms. Jain, such technologies are not only improving operational efficiency but are also enhancing the passenger experience inside modern buses.
Evolving With Industry
Masstrans’ growth strategy is closely linked with the growth of OEMs and operators. “If our customers grow, we grow. The market is evolving quickly and we always try to stay slightly ahead of the curve in terms of technology,” explained Ms. Jain.
The company has steadily expanded its footprint in intelligent transport systems and electronic solutions for buses, while simultaneously strengthening its aftersales and service support network across India. Today, Masstrans has a dedicated pan-India aftermarket support team of more than 70 professionals focused on ensuring uptime, maintenance support and customer assistance. “For us, it is never just about selling a product. Supporting customers throughout the lifecycle of the product is equally important,” Ms. Jain emphasised.
