23rd Asia Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference 2026 to bring together 1,000+ delegates, 500+ mobility experts and industry leaders from across the region on 13–14 November
SAEINDIA is set to host APAC 23 – the 23rd Asia Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference 2026 – at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi, on 13–14 November 2026.

Organised under the theme “Xellerating towards Safe, Secure, Sustainable & Intelligent Mobility”, APAC 23 will bring together mobility leaders, engineers, technologists, researchers, policymakers, academicians, start-ups and solution providers from India and across the Asia-Pacific region. The conference will provide a platform to exchange ideas, showcase emerging technologies and explore the future of mobility.
The conference assumes special significance for India, as SAEINDIA hosts APAC for the second time, after a gap of 15 years. The event will place the country at the centre of an influential regional dialogue on the technologies and engineering solutions shaping the next generation of transportation.
A Legacy of Collaboration Across Asia-Pacific
Originating in 1981 as the International Pacific Conference, APAC has evolved into a collaborative automotive engineering forum representing 11 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. Over the decades, it has provided a platform for engineering communities to exchange knowledge, strengthen international collaboration and address emerging challenges across the automotive and mobility ecosystem.
As the global mobility sector undergoes rapid transformation driven by electrification, software, artificial intelligence, connectivity, automation, sustainability and evolving safety requirements, APAC 23 will provide a timely platform to examine how engineering innovation can translate these developments into safe, secure and sustainable mobility solutions.
Bringing the Mobility Ecosystem Under One Roof
APAC 23 is expected to welcome more than 1,000 delegates and 500 mobility experts, with participation from leading automotive OEMs, component manufacturers, technology companies, engineering service providers, research organisations, academic institutions, start-ups, and government and regulatory stakeholders.

The two-day conference is expected to feature more than 150 technical presentations and 80 exhibitors, creating an extensive platform for knowledge exchange, technology demonstrations, business networking and cross-border collaboration.
Technical discussions at APAC 23 will span some of the most important areas influencing the future of mobility, including:
- Future powertrains
- Automated, connected, safe and smart mobility
- Cybersecurity and artificial intelligence
- Software-defined vehicles and vehicles as digital platforms
- Digital transformation and digital twins
- Vehicle dynamics
- Human factors
- Advanced materials and lightweighting
- Energy, emissions and life-cycle assessment
- Standards and regulations
Beyond a Conference: An Integrated Mobility Platform
APAC 23 has been designed as more than a conventional technical conference. Alongside plenary and technical sessions, the event will feature an exposition, TechHive, a Technology Theatre, and dedicated networking and business engagement opportunities, enabling participants to experience mobility innovation from multiple perspectives.
The APAC 23 Exposition will provide organisations with a platform to demonstrate technologies, products, engineering capabilities and next-generation mobility solutions to a relevant audience of industry professionals and decision-makers.
The Technology Theatre, located within the exposition area, will offer an interactive platform for organisations to present new technologies, solutions, product innovations and engineering developments directly to conference participants.
TechHive: Giving Mobility Start-ups a Global Stage
A major highlight of APAC 23 will be TechHive, a dedicated platform designed to connect mobility start-ups with the wider automotive ecosystem.
TechHive will provide emerging companies with opportunities to showcase their innovations, interact with industry leaders, technology experts, investors, potential customers and collaborators, and build visibility within the Asia-Pacific mobility community.
Through TechHive, APAC 23 aims to strengthen the connection between emerging innovation and established industry, encouraging collaborations that can accelerate the transition of new mobility technologies from concept to real-world application.
India at the Centre of the Mobility Transformation
India is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most significant mobility markets and engineering hubs. The convergence of a large automotive manufacturing ecosystem, strong engineering talent, an expanding start-up landscape and increasing investments in electric, connected, software-defined and sustainable mobility presents a unique opportunity for the country.
By bringing APAC back to India after 15 years, SAEINDIA aims to facilitate deeper engagement between India and the wider Asia-Pacific automotive engineering community, creating new opportunities for technology exchange, research collaboration, partnerships and business development.
Dr. Nagarajan Govindan, President, SAEINDIA, and Steering Committee, Chair, said, “APAC 23 represents an important opportunity for India to engage with the Asia-Pacific mobility engineering community at a time when our industry is undergoing fundamental transformation. By bringing together industry, academia, researchers, innovators and policymakers, we aim to create meaningful conversations and collaborations that can contribute to safer, smarter and more sustainable mobility.”
Mr. Saurabh Dalela, Director, ICAT, and Organizing Committee – Chair, said, “The scale and diversity of APAC 23 have been designed to create an environment where engineering knowledge, technology innovation and business opportunities come together. From technical presentations and the exposition to TechHive and the Technology Theatre, participants will have multiple opportunities to discover technologies, exchange ideas and build collaborations across the mobility ecosystem.”
Opportunities for Industry Participation
With the conference approaching, SAEINDIA is inviting organisations and professionals across the mobility ecosystem to participate in APAC 23 through delegate registrations, sponsorship, exposition and TechHive.
The conference offers organisations an opportunity to showcase their technologies and capabilities to a focused audience, engage with mobility decision-makers and engineering professionals, develop new partnerships, and contribute to conversations shaping the future of mobility in the Asia-Pacific region.
