Renault Trucks to Showcase Practical Decarbonisation Solutions at IAA Transportation 2026

Renault Trucks will present its latest electric and diesel innovations at IAA Transportation 2026, to be held in Hanover from 15 to 20 September. At its 923 sq. m stand (Hall 21, Stand B52), the manufacturer will showcase solutions for urban distribution, construction, regional delivery and long-haul transport, highlighting the continued expansion of its electric portfolio alongside advances in fuel-efficient diesel technology.

Among the highlights will be the world premiere of the 2027 Renault Trucks T High powered by the new DE13 R engine, as well as the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780, its latest long-haul electric truck.

World Premiere for the New Renault Trucks T High

Making its global debut at IAA 2026, the 2027 Renault Trucks T High introduces the new DE13 R engine, developed to deliver higher efficiency, improved performance and enhanced driver comfort.

The new powertrain reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 4% compared with the previous generation. Available with outputs of up to 540 hp and 2,800 Nm of torque, it is paired with a new Optidriver gearbox offering faster and smoother gear changes. A more powerful engine brake further improves vehicle control and driving comfort, particularly on demanding routes.

Visitors will also be able to view the DE13 R engine as a standalone exhibit on the Renault Trucks stand.

Expanding the Electric Portfolio

Renault Trucks will showcase a broad range of battery-electric vehicles, reflecting the rapid expansion of its zero-emission product portfolio.

Leading the display is the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780, developed specifically for long-haul transport. Offering a driving range of up to 660 km, the truck is capable of completing a full legal driving day without intermediate charging, opening new opportunities for long-distance electric freight transport.

The extended range is enabled by a new architecture featuring an electric axle that integrates the main driveline components at the rear of the vehicle, creating additional space for larger battery capacity.

Also on display will be the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 540, designed for regional distribution applications and now capable of travelling up to 450 km on a single charge.

For urban logistics, Renault Trucks will present the E-Tech D 14T, the latest addition to its electric distribution range. Designed for city-centre operations, the compact truck combines a narrow vehicle width with a turning radius of less than 7.3 metres, making it one of the most manoeuvrable electric trucks in its segment.

Focus on Electric Light Commercial Vehicles

Renault Trucks will also dedicate a section of its stand to its expanding Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) portfolio.

One of the featured models will be the Renault Trucks E-Tech Master Offroad, an electric LCV developed for light construction applications. Available exclusively through Renault Trucks, the Offroad version offers increased ground clearance and specialised equipment for improved access to construction sites.

The company will also unveil a next-generation electric LCV developed by Flexis. Built on a dedicated skateboard platform with a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture, the new model represents Renault Trucks’ next step in electric urban mobility.

With these additions, Renault Trucks aims to strengthen its position in the LCV market and has set a target of doubling its sales volumes in the segment by 2030.
