Commenting on the new products, Mr. R. Mananathan, Chairman, Manatec Electronics, said: “We have brought five new products to the Auto Expo this year. One is our 3D wheel alignment system for multi-axle trucks called the Jumbo 3D. We have another model called the Jumbo 3D Super which can carry out the alignment of all the axles at the same time. The new Jumbo 3D Super model helps reduce mechanics’ workload and is capable of cutting down the time involved in wheel alignment of multi-axle vehicles to nearly one-third of the time taken using conventional wheel aligners. The other new products include the Genie 3D wheel alignment system for LCVs and cars in which the camera is mounted on the lift itself and as a result saves space and comes at an economical price. We have developed these products indigenously and have patented them as well.  We have also developed an AC charger for air-conditioning services of cars and HCVs. Another of our new products is a TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) for displaying the Tyre Pressure and Temperature in which the results can be displayed on a standalone display unit or on the dash board or on the customer’s mobile phone.”

Manatec expects the new launches to bolster its growth. With the automotive, and especially the CV market showing signs of growth in the upcoming fiscal, the company hopes to continue its good run in the domestic market and also maintain its strong showing on the export front.

Being a home-grown garage equipment manufacturer, Manatec has thrived on its deep understanding of local market conditions and requirements, well-backed by its sound technical know-how to deliver top-notch products at par, if not better, on quality with global brands. The company considers its ability to adapt to changing market requirements as one of its biggest strengths. “We are very reactive to the market scenario on both domestic and international fronts and try to understand what each market requires. A few years back, an alignment shop in India used to perform an average of 5 to 6 alignments every day, but now the number has gone up to 20. So the productivity of workshops becomes very critical. We are also working in that direction to help the mechanics perform alignment in the easiest way and the shortest possible time”, added Mr. Mananathan.

Manatec has high hopes that 2016 would be a “fabulous” year for the Indian market, particularly for the commercial vehicle sector, and expects to grow in line with the market demand.
