Gibraltar keen on maintaining customer connect and trust

Gibraltar Airsprings Pvt. Ltd., a regular exhibitor at Auto Expo, made its sixth straight presence at the country’s most important automotive trade fair this year. Having gone global following its participation at Automechanika Dubai last year, Gibraltar apparently has its hands full, catering to OEM and aftermarket customers in both the domestic and overseas markets. The recovery of the Indian CV segment and its projected double-digit growth during FY16-17 has come as welcome news for the company as it plans to make the most of it by growing at par with the market, if not better.

Sharing his views on the Auto Expo, Mr. Arnob Guha, Director – Operations, Gibraltar, said: “We have always been very excited about participating at the Auto Expo and have been present in the last six editions of the show. The good thing is since the show has been bifurcated into two (Motor Show and Components), there is a lot of focused footfall which works very much to our advantage. We have had a very good show this year.”

Referring to his company’s priorities, he added: “We believe that our customers come to us for our good and honest prices and stay with us for the excellent quality we deliver. We want to continue with the trend and that’s where our next goals and milestones would come from.”

Although the overall automotive market per se has not performed that well in recent times, the replacement market for Gibraltar’s products, though still at a nascent stage in India, has seen good growth in numbers, along with an encouraging rise in innovation and adoption of new technology.

Apart from participating in major global shows related to the commercial vehicle and automotive component space, Gibraltar will be targeting markets such as the Middle East and North Africa in the new financial year, with regions like the US and Europe likely to come in the next phase, although discussions with potential customers from parts of Europe such as the Netherlands and Germany are already in progress. The air-spring maker is also looking to consolidate its presence in South East Asia and South Asia in the upcoming fiscal, which includes expanding its presence in the Indian market further.
