Making a vibrant show at EXCON, Larsen and Toubro Construction Equipment Ltd. (L&T) and Komatsu India reaffirmed their commitment to the Indian CE market with a wide range of latest products, technological prowess, and service capabilities. Together, the brands displayed 19 machines in the construction, earthmoving and road machinery segments. On the occasion, Larsen and Toubro handed over its 50,000th machine – a Komatsu PC450 hydraulic excavator – and 6,000th Komatsu PC130 machine to its esteemed customers. The keys of the machines were handed over by Arvind Garg, Executive Vice-President and Head, L&T Construction and Mining Machinery, and Masaaki Kamizono, Managing Director, Komatsu India (P) Ltd.
They also launched the all-new Komatsu PC210LC-10M0 hydraulic excavator that the company claims to have designed specifically for the Indian market. The new machine is 20% more productive and 20% more fuel-efficient than its previous generation PC210LC-8M0 excavator. It will be manufactured by Komatsu India at its state-of-the-art plant in Oragadam, Chennai, with Larsen and Toubro taking care of marketing and service support through its nationwide network of dealerships and service centres. Komatsu India claims that the new excavator will redefine performance and set new benchmarks of productivity and fuel consumption in its class.
According to Kamizono, it will also reaffirm its commitment to India with latest products and superior value proposition to customers. Other products on display included a wide range of excavators, along with D85 crawler dozer and GD535 motor grader imported from Komatsu Ltd. Larsen and Toubro’s display items included 9020sx wheel loader, 1190, 990HF, 491 vibratory compactors, 2490 pneumatic-tyre roller, hydraulic paver, and skid steer loader. According to the manufacturer, these equipments incorporate world-class features including Larsen and Toubro’s ‘DigiEye’ for tracking the machines online. At the expo, the company also launched Komatsu’s multi-purpose grease, Komatsu G2-LI, designed for all components. It covers a majority of the Komatsu range of construction equipment.
