At Excon 2025, JOST World’s global leadership underscored India’s rising strategic importance by presenting the full combined offering of JOST and Hyva; a complete ecosystem of trailer components, hydraulic cylinders, digital tipping systems and heavy mining solutions. This was the first major show where the global teams jointly showcased their unified capabilities for tip trailers, construction fleets and off-road mining applications.

India has been a key pillar for both brands for nearly three decades. Mr. Alex Tan, CEO; APAC Region, JOST World, highlighted this long-term commitment. “For almost 30 years, JOST and Hyva have grown with India; from our first-generation cylinders to our fifth wheels and local factories, the idea has always been to build in India for India,” he said. “With both companies together, we can now serve truck and trailer customers much better.”

JOST operates two factories in India, while Hyva operates four. The combined manufacturing footprint gives the group a strong advantage in meeting India’s accelerating construction, mining and transport needs. The leadership confirmed that fresh capacity expansions are already planned, especially for new technology products such as electronic systems, digital tipping, couplings and advanced axles.

“We are proud to be here as one combined company; it gives us relevance, scale and impact across the entire value chain,” said Mr. Joachim Dürr, CEO; JOST Werke SE. “Whether it is truck OEMs, trailer builders or end users, we now have the strength to support today’s requirements and the technologies needed for tomorrow.”
Technology; R&D and Service Support Lead the New Product Direction
Both leaders emphasised the importance of digitalisation. India is not only a growing technology adopter but also a vital hub for JOST’s global R&D. Digital tipping solutions have already been launched in India; and software and electronics development teams are being strengthened locally.
“We are integrating India’s R&D strengths into our global network,” Mr. Dürr said. “This includes digital technologies and traditional engineering; both are essential for the next phase of innovation.”
The leadership also highlighted India’s strong manufacturing potential. Beyond serving domestic customers, JOST and Hyva already export cylinders, agricultural components and transport products from India to North America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Service support remains a critical differentiator. “We have implemented a first-class nationwide service network in India,” Mr. Tan said. “It supports truck OEMs, trailer builders and end users with engineering assistance, day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting. With the combined portfolio, the same network now supports both JOST and Hyva products.”
As global markets enter 2025 with mixed performance, both leaders see India as one of the strongest growth engines in the world. The group is committed to expanding local manufacturing, developing future-ready digital solutions and deepening customer partnerships across construction, mining and road transport.
