GS Caltex India showcased its futuristic portfolio meeting BS-VI standards which includes BS-VI Compatible Engine Oils Kixx HDX Euro CK-4 15W-40, extra-long-life high performance hydraulic oil Kixx HVL range and high performance fully synthetic gear oil Kixx GearSyn GL-5 75W-90.
Rajesh Nagar, CEO and MD, GS Caltex India, and Ungsok Yang, Manager – Global Sales, GS Caltex Corporation, unveiled the new products along with Madhu Mohan, GM – Marketing, and Jayanta Ray, GM – Industrial and OEM. The management team shared the benefits of the newly-launched products that further strengthen its robust portfolio.
Speaking to MOTORINDIA, Rajesh Nagar said: “We are seeing more customers accepting higher quality products; they understand the importance of lubricants with respect to long drain interval and fuel efficiency which is a positive sign for our industry. If customers use high-end standard products, even they will benefit. Furthermore, the relaxed policy from the government shall further ease business and we hope 2020 will be a much better for the industry.”
GS Caltex boasts of around 150 distributors across India with 14 warehouses. They also export to Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh and are soon going to develop products for the African market. Nagar added: “Many of the semi-synthetic and high hydraulic oils that we manufacture have been a result of our proactive improvisation and ability to think ahead of time. At most of the times, we are ahead of the demand coming from the customers. We do not use any base oil that is not from our refineries. We bring our Group 2, Group 3 base oils from our facility in Seoul, South Korea. In production, we can produce 1 million kl and have a very good blending facility with us and do not see any challenges in handling the BS-VI demand.”
GS Caltex’s new BS-VI compatible engine oil Kixx HDX Euro CK-4 15W-40 is a high-performance heavy-duty premium quality engine oil which exceeds industry and engine manufacturers’ performance requirements and has been specially developed for BS-VI engines. The Kixx HVL long life hydraulic oil, has been engineered to make the equipment more responsive with its formulation created to help prevent varnish deposits that can bog down the hydraulic system. The premium hydraulic oil holds up under higher pressure, and much longer than conventional oils. The third of the new launches, Kixx GearSyn GL-5 75W-90, is a high-performance synthetic heavy-duty gear oil suitable for use in heavy-duty driven axles and differentials. It is designed for long-drain capability and formulated with a combination of synthetic base oils (poly alpha olefin) and high-performance additives. High viscosity index and good low temperature fluidity help contribute to component protection across a wide temperature range.
During EXCON, GS Caltex India received the prestigious Yellow DOT Award for ‘Most Innovative Parts Supplier – Lubricants Category’ partner for the CE industry for developing and successfully implementing long drain hydraulic oils with 5,000 hours oil drain interval in Indian conditions.
