Dhoot Transmission Limited has announced the acquisition of MULTILINK through its affiliate, marking a strategic step to strengthen its presence in the fast-evolving automotive electronics space.

MULTILINK, headquartered in Bengaluru, supplies a wide range of products including chargers, sensors, relays and switches to two-wheeler and three-wheeler OEMs. The company operates three manufacturing facilities across Hosur, Mysore and Manesar, and brings with it strong customer relationships and a diversified product portfolio.
The acquisition is part of Dhoot’s broader strategy to build a scaled and integrated solutions platform aligned with rising electrification, premiumisation and growing electronic content in vehicles. With electric vehicle adoption gaining pace, the combined entity is expected to enhance capabilities across key electronic and electrical segments for 2W and 3W manufacturers.
Mr. Rahul Dhoot, Managing Director, Dhoot Transmission, said the deal is a strategic fit that complements the company’s existing portfolio while strengthening its position in high-growth segments. He added that the integration would help unlock new opportunities through a wider customer base and cross-selling potential.
Backed by Bain Capital, Dhoot has been steadily expanding its footprint in the automotive components sector. Saahil Bhatia, Partner at Bain Capital, noted that the acquisition aligns with the firm’s focus on building a future-ready platform, with expected synergies in procurement, manufacturing and supply chain efficiencies.
For MULTILINK, the partnership opens up the next phase of growth. H.G. Vasuki, its promoter, said the association with Dhoot will provide scale, stronger market access and operational depth.
The deal follows Dhoot’s earlier move this year to merge one of its subsidiaries with FourFront, further reinforcing its push into advanced electro-mechanical and electronic solutions.
PwC and Trilegal advised Dhoot on the transaction, while MULTILINK was advised by Spice Route Legal and Aeka Advisors.
