Crown Worldwide Expands India Presence With New Coimbatore Facility

Crown Worldwide Group has inaugurated a new integrated facility in Coimbatore, further strengthening its presence in India, one of the company’s fastest-growing global markets.

Spread across a 4.5-acre site, the new facility has been designed to support future expansion and increasing customer demand for storage, relocation and information management services. The site currently supports a Phase 1 capacity of more than 468,000 Standard Carton Equivalents (SCE), with plans to expand capacity to 720,000 SCE under Phase 2 through an additional 45,000 sq. ft. development.

The facility will support multiple business verticals including Crown Relocations, Crown Workspace and its Renew Centre, which focuses on refurbishing and reusing workplace assets. The expansion is aimed at strengthening Crown’s ability to deliver integrated storage, digitisation and information management solutions for clients across India.

The inauguration was attended by Mr. Jennifer Harvey, Mr. Tze Shen Kong and Mr. Srinivas Krishnan.

Ms. Harvey said India continues to be one of Crown’s fastest-growing markets and noted that the new facility will strengthen the company’s ability to support clients with physical document storage, corporate asset management, digitalisation and information management solutions.

The company said the facility integrates advanced infrastructure and operational systems to efficiently manage high volumes. A centralised Building Management System allows real-time monitoring of key functions including fire safety, electrical systems and climate control across Crown’s global network.

The site has also been designed with operational resilience and future scalability in mind. Fire safety systems aligned with Indian standards are supported by a 530,000-litre water reserve, warehouse sprinklers and full-site hydrant coverage, while security infrastructure includes 24/7 surveillance, controlled access points and intrusion detection systems.

As part of its sustainability initiatives, the facility incorporates insulated construction, high-reflectance roofing and green cover across 15 percent of the site to improve energy efficiency and reduce internal temperatures.

Mr. Kong said India remains a strategically important market for Crown’s regional growth plans, while Mr. Krishnan noted that the facility will help the company address rising demand and growing operational complexity from customers across South India.
