Mr. Satish Sharma, Senior President & Director – Business Development and Strategy, BKT, shares how the company is balancing leadership in off-highway tyres with expansion into on-highway mobility through customer-centric innovation, sustainability and global growth.

The tyre industry is entering a transformative decade shaped by infrastructure development, changing mobility needs, sustainability and rapid technological progress. According to Mr. Satish Sharma, Senior President & Director – Business Development and Strategy, BKT, future growth will depend not only on product performance but also on how manufacturers build stronger customer relationships and deliver greater value throughout the ownership journey.
“Our Vision 2030 is to build BKT into a diversified global mobility partner driven by innovation, sustainability and customer-centric solutions,” said Mr. Sharma.
He believes customers are becoming increasingly informed and value-conscious, placing greater emphasis on safety, durability, fuel efficiency, comfort and overall vehicle performance. Purchasing decisions are also becoming more research-driven, making digital engagement, after-sales support and customer experience as important as the product itself.
Sustainability, he added, will remain a defining competitive advantage. BKT continues to embed responsible manufacturing into its long-term strategy through the use of renewable and recycled raw materials, energy-efficient production processes and circular manufacturing practices. Alongside these initiatives, the company is investing consistently in research and development to create products aligned with future mobility requirements.

“For our industrial customers, we will continue developing application-specific tyre solutions that improve productivity, durability and operational efficiency, while consumers will benefit from products focused on safety, reliability, performance and ownership experience,” he shared.
Serving customers across more than 160 countries, BKT’s ambitions extend beyond expanding its global footprint.
