The company exhibited an extensive lineup including transmission PTOs, split shaft PTOs, transfer cases, pump drives, and auxiliary gearboxes. The showcase highlighted Bezares Alpha Drives’ ambition to expand its footprint in India while leveraging global technology expertise from its Spanish parent company.

Speaking from the company’s pavilion, Mr. Suresh J. Williams, Managing Director, Bezares Alpha Drives India, expressed enthusiasm about the event and the company’s growth plans. “It’s exciting to be here at EXCON because we have been part of this industry for decades, serving the sector with innovative PTO solutions. Now, through our partnership with Bezares, a global leader, we are strengthening our technology and market presence in India and overseas,” he said. Mr. Williams also highlighted the growing strength of the company’s internal systems under the leadership of Dr. Rathina Singaravelan.

Dr. Rathina, Deputy CEO and CEO-designate, elaborated on the company’s internal improvements and certifications. “We have already signed up for IATF certification, which we expect to achieve by March. Various process improvements are underway to strengthen the company’s operations and support rapid growth,” he explained.

Expanding Horizons in India

Dr. Rathina emphasized the company’s focus on the Indian market, particularly the defense, construction, and mining sectors. “We are highly motivated to present our complete product range here. Our goal is to grow multifold in India while ensuring that our solutions meet the specific demands of different applications,” he said. Alejandro Núñez Bezares, Chief Financial Officer of Bezares S.A., added perspective on the strategic partnership. “Our relationship with Alpha Drives began during the COVID period, and it has grown steadily since then. This joint venture has been very successful, and we plan to expand the product range further while localizing production for the Indian market,” he said.

The company reported consistent growth over recent years, with a year-on-year increase of 15 to 20 percent. Dr. Rathina highlighted the segments driving this growth. “Our PTO business is expanding, and we are seeing good market results in auxiliary gearboxes, pump drives, and transfer cases. Now, gear pump development in India will be a key driver for exponential growth,” he said.

Technology transfer from Spain to India is playing a pivotal role in this expansion. Alejandro Núñez Bezares explained, “The Bezares group has extensive experience in multiple countries. For India, we are bringing advanced technology and knowledge, particularly in EV truck solutions, which we follow closely to ensure future readiness.”

The company is also focusing on strengthening its manufacturing, R&D, and localization. “Our technology transfer and local manufacturing initiatives are expected to deliver phenomenal results,” Dr. Rathina said. He added that customers have responded positively to these advancements. “Our service network is strong across India, and we promise exceptional support and maintenance. Our products already perform very well in the market, with minimal service issues due to their quality,” he noted.

India as a Hub for Innovation and Exports

Looking ahead, the company plans to increase production capacity and leverage India as a hub for exports. Alejandro Núñez Bezares elaborated, “Our expectations for India are huge. We plan investments to serve the local market and also to use India as a platform for global exports. This subsidiary has the potential to become our largest growth driver worldwide.”

Focusing on product development, the company is prioritizing gear pumps as the segment with the highest customer demand. Dr. Rathina explained, “Gear pumps will be our primary focus, followed by valves and gearboxes. Customers’ feedback, including from yesterday’s meet, reinforces the demand for high-quality, locally produced gear pumps.”

Mr. Suresh Williams highlighted the overarching vision for India. “We aim to be a global partner while supporting Indian customers with complete hydraulic solutions. Our goal is to integrate service, maintenance, and technology in a way that delivers maximum value,” he said.
