Auto Tricks Shapes Tomorrow’s Safer, Smarter Commercial Mobility

The automotive and commercial mobility industry is entering one of its most transformative decades, and Auto Tricks sees it clearly from where it stands. Safety, connectivity, sustainability, and data-driven fleet operations are no longer future aspirations — they are becoming the new baseline expectations across the industry. “In India specifically, rapid infrastructure development, stricter safety regulations, and the accelerating adoption of digital technologies are set to fundamentally reshape the commercial vehicle (CV) landscape by 2030,” Mr. Yuvaraja said.

“What I find particularly significant is that CV operators are no longer looking at safety technology as a compliance checkbox — they are actively seeking solutions that improve safety while simultaneously reducing operating costs and vehicle downtime. That shift in mindset changes everything,” he noted.

The connected vehicle revolution is gathering momentum. Real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, telematics, and fleet analytics are moving from premium features to standard expectations. Operators who embrace this shift early will gain a meaningful edge in efficiency, compliance, and asset utilisation.

On sustainability, he expects a more diversified transition than many anticipate. “Electric mobility will grow significantly, particularly in urban and light commercial applications. But for long-haul transportation, conventional CVs will continue to dominate for the foreseeable future. Technologies that enhance efficiency and safety across all platforms — not just electric — will remain highly relevant well into the next decade,” he said.
