EXCON 2022

The Fuse & Relay Box is one of the power distribution modules that we are demonstrating. For OEMs, we optimise the wire and harness with the current system. We have worked with clients including Wirtgen (John-Deere Group), Caterpillar, Tata Hitachi, Ashok Leyland, and others. The goal of the entire plan is to lighten the system, and we are pleased that we were able to do so by 30 to 35 percent. The actual wire and harness were 350 grammes lighter in one of the Ashok Leyland vehicles. The system’s overall weight was reduced to 2.5 kg, which is a significant improvement for CVs.

The improvement in fuel efficiency is directly correlated with the development and improvement in wire and harnessing. Additionally, the glove box space of the vehicle, which was previously occupied by the relay box, becomes entirely open to accommodate the actual needs of the co-driver or the driver.

We support both local requirements and the design requirements of German automotive OEMs through our cutting-edge design centre in Bangalore, India. On the strength of our talented R&D team, there are items designed and produced in India that are exported to Germany. It goes without saying that software and hardware engineers are part of our team and oversee projects and product development. In Mysore, we also have a factory for fabricating central electric units, including fuse and relay boxes. By August of this year, we hope to open a new facility in Pune.

Growth & Sales Prospects

The construction equipment market’s present trends are very positive. More electronics would be incorporated into the vehicles as the market transitions to updated emission standards. ECU, BCU, PCS, and battery cooling systems for electric vehicles are already in order and available. With the platforms in place, we are prepared for the next stage of expansion. All of the manufacturers we work with receive a two-year warranty from us.

Each and every ICS (Intelligent Power & Control Systems) product is small, affordable, and has a reliable and intelligent design. We provide advice and support to customers from your initial product concept all the way through to serial production in order to provide long-term technological and financial competitive advantages to customers. Whether it involves simple components or entire systems, standardisation or customer-specificity, etc.

By 2026 we aim for a 250 crores sales turnover from the Indian market, across commercial vehicles and construction equipment segment. We have about 82,000 workers worldwide and a presence in 85 countries, all of which are guided by global standards. In India, we are a team of 200 employees Mysore, Bangalore and now in Pune. We are a Würth Elektronik Group company with a long history in the picturesque Hohenlohe region of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. We have affiliates all over the world. That way, we can always be right where clients need us. We stay committed to our philosophy, ‘More than you expect’, to assure customer’s lasting success.
