VST Tillers Tractors Breaks Ground on ₹100 Crore Global Tech Centre in Hosur

VST Tillers Tractors has conducted the Bhoomi pooja and groundbreaking ceremony for its new Global Tech Centre in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, marking a significant step in the company’s research and development expansion. The facility, being established with an investment of ₹100 crore, will serve as VST’s primary global hub for advanced engineering and innovation, with a focus on tractors, tillers, farm mechanisation equipment, and intelligent farm machinery for sustainable agricultural solutions across both ICE and electric drivetrains.

The new centre is designed to accelerate next-generation technology development, strengthen testing and validation capabilities, fast-track product development, and foster collaborations with global technology partners and research institutions. It will also enhance VST’s ability to address customer requirements across different markets and geographies.

Mr. V.T. Ravindra, Managing Director of VST Tillers Tractors, said the foundation of the Global Tech Centre marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey of innovation and technology leadership, and that as agriculture rapidly embraces electrification, automation, and digital technologies, the facility will become the cornerstone of future R&D initiatives. He added that the new centre will enable the company to accelerate innovation, develop proprietary technologies, and create world-class products that empower farmers with smarter, more sustainable mechanisation solutions.

He further said the centre will substantially strengthen engineering, testing, and validation capabilities while fostering collaborations with leading global technology partners and research institutions, and that by investing in advanced R&D infrastructure today, VST is preparing to lead the next generation of farm machinery and deliver products that meet the evolving needs of customers across domestic and international markets.
