Volvo Trucks will use IAA Transportation 2026 to showcase its latest milestones while highlighting the future of sustainable and efficient road transport. The company will present new and enhanced trucks, drivelines and services designed to create greater value for customers, improve operational efficiency and strengthen business performance, reinforcing Volvo’s position as a trusted partner for the transport industry.
New possibilities for customers, the transport industry and society will be at the heart of Volvo Trucks’ presence at the exhibition in Hanover, Germany. At its stand, the company will showcase a comprehensive range of trucks, technologies and services aimed at maximising customers’ return on investment, boosting efficiency and preparing their businesses for the future.
Volvo will present its latest electric, gas and diesel drivelines, offering solutions for customers at every stage of their decarbonisation journey while supporting productivity, profitability and uptime. The company will display eight trucks at its stand, with another seven vehicles available for test drives.
Test-drive the Volvo FH Aero Electric with up to 700 km range
One of the key highlights at IAA 2026 will be the opportunity for visitors to take part in test drives that will begin directly from the Volvo Trucks stand in Hall 11.
Visitors will have the chance to experience the new Volvo FH Aero Electric with an extended driving range of up to 700 km, test the new fuel-efficient D13 engine, and even drive Volvo’s future hydrogen-powered combustion engine truck, which is scheduled to be launched before 2030.
Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, believes the on-road demonstrations will give customers the best possible experience of the company’s latest innovations. “With the test-driving track right by our stand, we want to show our new trucks and drivelines at their best – on the road!” he said.
Complete business solutions
Beyond its product portfolio, Volvo will also showcase its complete business offering. This includes guidance on selecting the right driveline, solutions that enhance driver safety and performance, tailored service contracts, access to a network of more than 2,500 certified workshops and dealers, financing solutions, and digital uptime services.
The company will also demonstrate how it supports customers in adopting alternative and renewable fuels, developing fuelling and charging infrastructure, and managing mixed fleets with seamless operations.
European market leader for two consecutive years
Volvo Trucks has retained its position as Europe’s market leader in the heavy-duty truck segment (16 tonnes and above) for two consecutive years, in 2024 and 2025. A significant contributor to this success has been the Volvo FH Aero, which delivers improved aerodynamics and fuel efficiency and has now surpassed 70,000 units sold.
The company has also achieved another important milestone, with its battery-electric trucks collectively covering more than 450 million kilometres. On the safety front, Volvo continues to receive the highest five-star rating from Euro NCAP, with all seven of its trucks tested so far earning the maximum score.
Building on these achievements, Volvo says its latest technological advances and product launches at IAA 2026 are designed to create even greater value for customers worldwide.
