Vivek Devgun joins Continental as Modipuram Plant Manager

Continental has announced the appointment of Mr. Vivek Devgun as Plant Manager of Continental India Ltd. (CIL) at Modipuram in Meerut. Mr. Devgun succeeds Mr. M.P. Tyagi who retired on February 1.

“It is a great privilege for me to become part of the multinational corporation Continental and its worldwide team of around 170,000 employees and to contribute to the further development of the Modipuram plant”, said Mr. Vivek Devgun.

In his new assignment as Plant Manager and Vice President (Manufacturing) of the Modipuram plant, he will lead the existing bias commercial vehicle tyre plant as well as the upcoming radial tyre facility.

“The acquisition of the full shares of Continental India Ltd. by the Continental Corporation in July 2011 had started a new chapter in the history of our company. Development of the Modipuram plant is progressing with the ongoing investment projects for commercial radial passenger and light truck tyres and truck and bus tyres. This will positively impact our employees and our customers”, he added.

Mr. Devgun started his career as Maintenance Engineer in 1990 and brings with him a professional experience of over 23 years in the tyre industry. He is an expert in continuous improvement in operations through employee involvement and has hands-on experience in leading tyre plants.
