V-Xpress strengthens appointment delivery for quick commerce, plans 15 new outlets in Karnataka

V-Xpress, the express cargo arm of V-Trans (India) Ltd., is strengthening its Appointment Delivery service for quick commerce and organised retail. The service helps suppliers deliver on pre-agreed dates and confirmed warehouse receiving slots. The company says it has a service level of over 90%, and it also serves modern trade, retail chains and Canteen Stores Department (CSD) locations.

The service tackles a common problem, which is a missed receiving slot that can lead to waiting time, rejected consignments, penalties and late stock. V-Xpress runs it through more than 40 dedicated centres with a combined storage capacity of 50,000 sq. ft. It now handles about 10,000 tonnes a month and plans to double that over the next year. New touchpoints are coming up in the Narasapura and Dabaspet industrial areas.

For tracking, the company offers GPS-based visibility and electronic proof of delivery (e-POD). API integration with partner platforms is in its final stages.

V-Xpress is also adding more than 15 outlets in Karnataka, which it expects to create over 150 jobs. The expansion is driven largely through business partners, in Bengaluru, Bijapur, Gulbarga, Mangalore, Davangere, Sirsi, Bagalkot and Devanahalli, and in the Harohalli, Jigani, Hindupur and Bidadi industrial areas.

“Our Appointment Delivery service helps quick commerce and modern trade suppliers meet receiving schedules, reduce delays and keep goods moving efficiently,” said Mr. Aditya Shah, Executive Director, V-Trans (India) Ltd. and CEO, V-Xpress.

For students, the Box-N-Ship door-to-door service moves belongings from hostels or campuses to hometowns, with festival promotion prices.
