TVS Tyres’ improved turnover, profit

TVS Srichakra Ltd., one of India’s leading manufacturers of two- and three-wheeler tyres, has reported satisfactory results for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2014. Revenue for the quarter at Rs. 456.78 crores is nine per cent higher when compared to that of Rs. 417.60 crores in the third quarter. EBITDA at Rs. 35.76 crores is higher by 22 per cent as compared to Rs. 29.35 crores in the previous quarter. Profit after tax stood at Rs. 21.69 crores as compared to Rs. 10.50 crores.

Commenting on the company’s financial performance, Mr. P. Vijayaraghavan, Director, TVS Srichakra Ltd., said: “Despite the complicated growth scenario we have shown an improved turnover of around 1,700 crores in 2013-2014 and are looking forward to targeting higher increase in this financial year. TVS-Tyres-pic-1We have been constantly expanding our volumes, both in the mother plant in Madurai and in Rudrapur. We have been carefully analyzing the market condition as a proactive measure to the growing volumes both in the OEM and aftermarket segments. We are looking forward to higher sales in 2014-2015 as compared to the last fiscal.”

Fine display at Automechanika 2014, Dubai

TVS-Tyres-pic-2TVS Srichakra Ltd., one of India’s largest manufacturers and exporters of off-road and two-wheeler tyres, participated in Automechanika 2014 held in Dubai during June 3-5. Held for the first time in Dubai, the expo featured more than 1,400 exhibitors from 58 countries with over 24,000 trade visitors attending it.

The main focus was on the Eurogrip range of offroad tyres that included industrial pneumatic, skid steer, grader, tractor, farm, floatation, harbor and multi-purpose tyres. The two-wheeler tyres range included Dragon, Olivia, Jumbo PT, Pancer and ATT 230R. These reinforced body tyres provide excellent grip and mileage, making them more durable and comfortable.
