Trichy Auto Expo 2019 evokes good response

TVS Dinesh conferred the title of ‘Vahana Chemmal’

The 4th Edition of the Trichy Auto Expo 2019 held in Kalaiarangam, during May 24-26 was a great success and attracted a huge crowd. At the inaugural function, Mr. K. Sivakumaran, President, Trichy Auto Parts Dealers’ Association (TAPDA), welcomed the gathering, following which Mr. P. Murugesan, President, Tamil Nadu Automobile and Allied Industries Federation (TAAIF), gave an overview of the expo, highlighting the fact that it had attracted leading auto component manufacturers like the TVS Group of companies, Rane, Spark Minda, Gabriel, Jamna Auto, Valeo, Exxon Mobil, UNO Minda, Valvoline Cummins and Lumax, to name a few.

Mr. R. Dinesh being conferred the title of ‘Vagana Chemmal’ with the citation presented by the Association Members.

Mr. Murugesan, in his address, applauded the contribution made by the TVS family, in particular, by the late S. Narayanan, and Mr. R. Dinesh, Joint Managing Director, TVS & Sons Pvt. Ltd., to the automotive sector. On this occasion, TAAIF honoured Mr. Dinesh with a unique title called ‘Vahana Chemmal’ while Mr. A. Chandrasekharan, Patron, TAAIF, read out the citation.

Mr. Dinesh, in his special address, thanked the organisers for honouring him. “We have to take efforts in order to make business prospects better and shows like this can become a right platform for offering education opportunities. In order to strengthen our business, we should focus on 100% customer service and maintain a very good relationship with them”, he said.

Mr. Siva Arvinth, President – Aftermarket, Minda Automotive Solutions Ltd. of Spark Minda Group, which was the major sponsor of the Trichy Auto Expo 2019, expressed his satisfaction over his company’s participation in the fair. He opined that such regional trade fairs are highly beneficial for everyone as they give a good opportunity for interaction with dealers, mechanics, and the like.

The inaugural function also witnessed the flagging off of a Vintage Car Rally by Mr. Dinesh.

Mr. Sharath Vijayaraghavan, Executive Director, Sundaram Motors, Division of TVS & Sons Pvt. Ltd., who was the chief guest at the valedictory function of the expo, praised the organisers for their excellent team work and for conducting the

show in a highly professional manner.
