Third edition of CII’s Annual HRD Forum

In the current business scenario, the function of Human Resource (HR) ought to be in the forefront by addressing effectively the overall talent development organization-wide and engineering change-oriented issues in order to reinforce the role of HR professionals as architects who create organizations that successfully implement business strategies.

There is a pressing need for companies’ HR team to understand the business priorities and initiatives while aligning the HR organization and its services, programs, resources and policies towards those objectives. Today, HR professionals have to do more than merely manage employee terms and conditions and need to be proactive by being the catalyst for change in the organization which is being constantly exposed to the dynamic and challenging business environment.

HR practitioners have to not only keep themselves abreast of happenings in various fields of HR but also look at honing their own skills. Against such an interesting background, CII Chennai Zone hosted the third edition of its HRD Forum for the year 2019 on 19 December 2019.

Objectives of the forum

l Provide an effective platform to enhance and share knowledge and skills relevant to the field of HRM. The forum also intends to provide an effective interface for networking with peers and professionals and give participants an opportunity to learn and develop as a community.

l Presentation of ‘Best HR Practices’ by forum members and discussions on certain agreed topics decided by the Forum.

l Presentation on best HR practices by World Class Manufacturing Companies.
