TecAlliance of Germany eager to enter Indian market

The company develops and distributes electronic vehicle parts information worldwide on the basis of a comprehensive sector solution for the support of parts manufacturers, wholesalers and workshops.

The portfolio of products and services includes current data for fast identification and ordering of passenger, motor cycle and commercial vehicle parts from the databases of participating parts makers in a standardised catalogue format. The electronic parts catalogue groups together more than 4, 5 million items in 28 languages.

In an exclusive interview to MOTORINDIA during his recent visit to India, Mr. David Winter, EVP Customer Management, said: “TecAlliance is keen to enter India’s fast growing automotive market to provide efficient electronic-based vehicle parts information. The company was started with 20 shareholders from the auto components sector, such as Robert Bosch, Continental, Tenneco, Federal Mogul and Delphi, and all of them have a significant presence in India. Currently, we have a strong presence in the US and Australia, as also in China. For India, we have very ambitious plans, and discussions are already on with several companies. We are also looking at other Asian countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, etc.

Mr. David also said: “We are responsive to local market conditions and are flexible to reformulate the ways we do things to suit local markets in China, the US and Brazil with repertoire of skills acquired in serving European Union and other world markets.”
