Supreme Group, the largest and most diversified Nonwovens Group in India, has announced acquisition of 100% ownership of Supreme-Treves Private Ltd. The company, started in 1996 as a joint venture between Supreme Nonwovens Private Ltd. and Treves S.A.S., France, is a Tier-1 system supplier of automotive interior trims and NVH components. With Supreme Group taking full control, the company is being renamed as Supreme Treon Private Ltd.
Mr. Amit Kavrie, Executive Director, Supreme Treon Private Ltd., said: “India is at the cusp of a major transformation and the timing is apt for the Supreme Group to take 100% ownership. This reaffirms the commitment of the group to our customers in the automotive industry.”
He further observed: “The Supreme Group is in a very strong position to independently take strategic decisions that will help the company focus on its core strengths while simultaneously nurturing growth opportunities with new products and markets. We strongly believe that this will set the company on a journey towards being a global player.”
Supreme Treon is the largest supplier of interior trims and NVH components with strong design, development, tooling, engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The company is the supplier of choice to practically all the major automotive OEMs and enjoys around 50 per cent market share. It has 12 manufacturing plants strategically located across automotive manufacturing hubs and supplies to over 100 different passenger and commercial vehicle models. Going forward the company plans to further strengthen its position by investing heavily on R&D in areas of composite material technologies for automotive safety, passenger comfort and environmental compliance.
