Dr. Steffen Berns will be the Managing Director of Bosch Ltd. and President, Bosch Group India, from January 1.
Prior to this present role he has been member on the Board of Gasoline Systems with responsibility for engineering, several business units and central functions since July 1, 2006.
After graduating from high school in 1982, Dr. Berns studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He received his Doctorate in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) at the Technical University of Aachen in 1990.
He has served the Bosch Group in different capacities, as Department Head, Engineering Inline Pumps and Governors, Diesel Systems (1994), General Manager, OE Sales and R&D, MICO (current RBIN), Bosch Group, India, (1996), Managing Director, Robert Bosch India Ltd. (current RBEI), (1998), Senior Vice President, Engineering and Product Groups Electronic Control Units and Sensors, Diesel Systems, (1999), and as Executive Vice President – Engineering, Gasoline Systems, (2006).
