Spheros, a global leader in the manufacture of cost-effective, eco-friendly and reliable bus heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, launched its new Revo Global series in the Indian market. The new product Revo Global 400 is a perfect mix of optimum functionality to the demanding Indian market conditions at a very competitive price. Suitable for larger buses, the product is likely to boost Spheros’ existing strong presence in the Indian market.

Sharing details about the new product, Mr. Cyril Xavier, Chief Operating Officer, Spheros Motherson Thermal System Ltd., Spheros’ Indian entity through its JV with Motherson, says: “We are showcasing our new Revo series which is built using high technology material as a result of which the overall unit weight is reduced by 30 per cent. This reduces the fuel consumption and adds a lot of value for customers in terms of direct cost benefit. We have introduced super-quality vents in this product which deliver increased air flow for exactly the same compressor rating as before. The power consumption has also been reduced by 25 per cent thereby enhancing the life of the battery and alternator while the noise level is also very low in this product. Overall, it gives a much higher customer satisfaction and the best part is that we are offering the new product at almost the same cost as our existing one.”

Spheros also showcased its CC 275 model for midi buses which was launched a year ago. The CC 275 unit offers weight reduction, reduces power consumption and noise, thereby lasting longer than conventional products. The company also showcased its other offerings including demister and smart hatch for feedback from its customers.

With one of the widest product portfolios in the bus AC market, Spheros is confident of its staying ahead despite growing competition in the segment. “We have 13 products in our basket, which is probably the largest in the Indian market today. We have a product for the entire range of buses from 6 m to 14.5 m, and this is one of our biggest strengths. We understand the bus segment, the passengers and the business better, which is why we call ourselves the bus HVAC solutions provider. Today we have a 30 per cent market share in India, and I am sure we will maintain our strong presence going forward”, Mr. Xavier adds.
