At Bharat Mandapam, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has set up the “Smart Integrated Automotive Mobility Lab” (SIAM Lab) at the Smart Mobility India Expo 2026.

More than a display, the SIAM Lab brings together the key players of India’s mobility ecosystem—OEMs, component makers, research bodies, and technology companies—into one space.

Located in Hall-1, the lab is divided into three zones: Sustainable Mobility, Research & Testing, and Technology. Each section shows how the industry is moving towards cleaner, smarter, and more connected mobility solutions.

The scale of collaboration stands out. Companies like Tata Motors, Kia India, JSW MG Motor India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, BMW India, TVS Motor Company, Ather Energy, and Hyundai Motor India are part of the showcase. They are joined by technology and research partners such as ARAI, Qualcomm, HERE Technologies, Google, and ITS India Forum. This reflects how mobility today is being shaped—through partnerships and shared innovation.

Mr. Prashant K Banerjee, Executive Director, SIAM, said the lab represents the industry’s collective effort to advance smart and sustainable mobility.

Overall, the SIAM Lab gives a clear picture of where India’s automotive industry is heading—focused on sustainability, technology, and future-ready solutions.
