During the recent visit to Raj Petro’s Silvassa Plant, the MOTORINDIA Editorial Team could observe that the company gives top priority to Technology, Product Quality, Customer Satisfaction and safety. Within a short span of time Raj Petro has also generated very good brand awareness in the automotive segment with its ‘Zoomol’ brand of Automotive Lubricants launched in the year October 2010.

According to Mr. Vinit Asher, Director, Raj Petro Specialities P. Ltd., as a young and new entrant in automotive lubricants segment, Zoomol is emerging out as one of the fastest growing automotive lubricant brand in the country with its ethical and technology backed marketing strategies. All the products turned out by Raj Petro undergo vigorous testing in various climatic conditions. The company has also made a successful foray into the highly-competitive STUs segment. Several State Transport Corporations have already taken Zoomol as the preferred brand for their fleet. Zoomol products have been endorsed for its quality and services by many leading fleet owners, construction and mining customers and mechanics. Each and every Zoomol product passes through stringent laboratory as well as field trials before placed in the market. Interestingly, some of the top end DEO products under the Zoomol umbrella have the approval from leading Global Engine OEMs such as Daimler, Scania, Volvo, Cummins, MTU, etc., and the products are ready to meet the Euro V norms. “Our aim is to be one among the Ten lubricant manufacturers by 2020”, said Mr. Vinit Asher on an optimistic note.

The driving force for Zoomol Automotive Lubricants

Talking about the Zoomol brand of automotive lubricants the Professional Team is the driving force behind the Zoomol Brand loyalty in the Indian Market – “With the strong Sales and Marketing Force, a wide range of top end automotive lubricants technologically proven product portfolio specially in the DEO – Commercial and Agricultural segment and rapidly growing MCO segment, with a very clear and different marketing strategies the Zoomol Automotive lubricants have penetrated the Bazaar Trade with a strong network of 15 dedicated consignment depots, about 80+ Distributors, reaching to about 15,000 retailers and thousands of mechanics located pan India. Though the Zoomol brand was originally launched in October 2010, but it’s actual marketing drive started in the year 2013. As per the team, the vision of the Zoomol brand is to specially strengthen its presence in the Two-Wheeler 4 stroke segment focussing at the Young Generation Bikes, for which the company is planning to establish an exclusive Zoomol outlet in the coming years. Test marketing has already been done in some selected locations, and the response it has received so far has indeed been overwhelming. Talking on the Passenger car segment lubricant he added that presently we have only one product for the PCMO segment but will be launching a complete range of Top end Engine Oils for the New Generation Passenger in the coming months.

On enquiring by the MOTORINDIA Editorial Team on the subject as to how far the fall in crude prices and the base oil prices would benefit Raj Petro Specialities, Mr. Chaitanya A. Anjaria, Director & Head Operations, said: “The frequent price changes are not healthy for any industry. There should be consistency as far as pricing is concerned. Since we import base oil from various part of the world in order to maintain the quality of our products, we have to manage our operations most efficiently.” Further he added that with the increasing in demand and looking at the future growth of the Zoomol Automotive Lubricants the group is planning to invest in expansion of its manufacturing facility which will be fully automated and one of the best in the industry.
