Talking to MOTORINDIA about their participation at the show, Mr. Rengarajan Srinivasan, Director, PSPL, and Director, StellarSP, says: “We are very happy that we decided to participate at Prawaas; our strategic decision has proved right. We got a prominent location for our stall which helped us receive excellent response with very impressive footfall of over 1,000 relevant visitors & customers including fleet operators, bus body builders and OEMs visiting us. Apart from showcasing our existing seating range, we were able to introduce our new firm StellarSP to the industry. The Stellar brand evoked fantastic response and interest from the visitors and we are confident of building on this brilliant start.”

Prakash Seating is a well-known brand in the market that is fast-emerging as a preferred seating systems supplier to leading STUs, private fleet customers, bus body builders and OEMs. The company has bagged major orders for around 3,000 buses in the past one year. The orders were serviced for different tenders of leading State Transport Corporations, that includes seats for mofussil buses, metro buses, night service buses (both sleeper and ultra-deluxe), with major share to PSPL. On the OE side, PSPL has supplied urban bus plastic seats to Tata Marcopolo buses which have been exported to Africa. The company is poised to obtain bulk orders for seats from State Transport Corporations, OEMs and Bus body builders, with the installed capacity and facilities fully geared up to meet deliveries with best in class quality products.

With PSPL going strong and showing impressive growth, what value would the new brand Stellar bring to the table? Mr. Rengarajan explains: “StellarSP is a new start up, company with out-of-the-box thinking and disruptive approach that promises to deliver best-in-class products with complete focus on satisfying customer requirements. Through Stellar, we will deliver products that are light-weight and modular with futuristic design and competitive cost for seats to the domestic and export markets. The seats will be 100 per cent made-in-India with in-house design and manufacturing. In addition to passenger seats where we already have proven products, we will be bringing in newer driver seats and focus tier-I supplies through Stellar for foams, components and sub system parts for buses and commercial vehicles, as we see the need for a quality and reliable supplier for these segments and adjacencies in the market.”
