Omni Matrix- Focus on robust connectors, expanding European base

Aditya Chabria, Managing Director, Omni Matrix shares the milestones that his company has achieved since the last IAA Transportation show and the current aspirations. Sarada Vishnubhatla reports.

Presence @ IAA Transportation 2022: Post the chaos of the COVID pandemic, we are happy to be here at IAA Transportation 2022, Hannover, Germany. This is an extremely important show for us. This year we have a strong presence with products ready for Europe. We are confident that this IAA show is going to be a game changer for us.

Latest @ Omni Matrix: We have upgraded our products from the last time that we were here. The industry today needs more and robust connectors. In line with it, our products today are able to meet the stringent norms of IP67, and IP69K. Our team has worked on this upgrade over the last couple of years. Besides that, I would say manufacturing competencies have improved from where we were, and we have introduced new manufacturing processes. We are adopting new alternate technologies such as low-pressure molding, highly critical insert molding and progressive die stamping. These are our major competencies that we have been upgrading over time. And we have added it all up to be able to build a better product.

We already have a European partner with us onboard. And we may just soon open an office here. This will help us build our market presence here. We believe that this will ease our reach to our customers while giving them more confidence that we are here to stay and they can see us building our European operations brick by brick. This is to say that we literally stand with them.

Product Bouquet on Offer: Our products are agnostic to geographies. Moreover, our philosophy has always been that when we build a product, it is made to be sold anywhere in the world. Of course, we take into account each region’s requirements which, as per law, may or may not be applicable in India. Apart from that, our products are comparable in any geographical market
With supply chains disrupted, most OEMs today are following the ‘China plus one’ strategy. We are hoping that this mind shift works in our favor. Of course, it could result in more competition, but that only means there will be more opportunities as well.

Putting Best Foot Forward: Our focus is clearly on continuing to offer quality to the customer. Everyone in the organization is aligned to ensuring that the customer comes first for us. We are flexible, we take inputs from our customers so that we can modify, improve, or even customize our products for them. Simultaneously, we work on our operations, which I think is the key to ensuring that we fulfill our commitment to our customers.

My expectations would be primarily that OEMs and other companies in Europe seriously look at sourcing from India. As Omni Matrix, more and more people are talking to us focused on increasing business. Our contacts are coming and we are happily showing them our latest products and offerings. I think the next couple of years for India will definitely be booming. We are seeing a huge opportunity coming in with respect to manufacturing and it is up to us to cash in on it.
