Motorzone tapping into unique growth opportunities

Motorzone is a first-of-its-kind fully integrated service outlet for medium and heavy commercial vehicles. A venture of Parveen Automobiles Private Ltd. (PAPL), the facility acts as a one-stop solution provider for a variety of needs including service, spares, insurance, and warranty of commercial vehicles.

Launched in 2010, Motorzone has quickly carved a niche for itself in the industry and offers its services to industry giants like Eicher, Volvo, Tata, Mercedes Benz, AMW, and Ashok Leyland. Spread over five acres of land, the facility has over 50 serviced bays, state-of-the-art equipment, and a team of over 250 trained employees and is capable of handling more than 2,500 vehicles a month.

Eager to expand its presence in the market, Motorzone has set itself a number of targets to be achieved by 2020. Speaking of the same, Mr. A. Sadiq, PAPL Managing Director, said: “We aim to establish Motorzone in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra.”

He added that their research shows that the need for providing quality services for commercial vehicle owners is very high at the moment and they plan to capitalize on the opportunity to have the first-mover advantage.

Discussing their key focus areas until 2020, Mr. Sadiq stated that they intend to affiliate with many OEMs to set up authorized service centers and partner with genuine automobile spare parts OEMs of different brands. They have plans to affiliate with a wide range of public and private sectors to cater to their automobile servicing needs. They are also working on partnering with the leading names in the automobile industry to establish skill development centers, impart technical skill training to candidates, and provide them with the best of placement opportunities. It will go a long way in creating a highly skilled and trained labor force, which is the need of the hour for the automobile industry today.

On queried as to why he thinks the Motorzone concept would be a success in the Indian market in the long term, Mr. Sadiq said: “We are a one-of-a-kind integrated service facility catering exclusively to each OEM for the maintenance of medium and heavy commercial vehicles. The concept is unique and entirely new to the Indian market and has great advantages in terms of technical knowhow and accessibility, which will enable us to deliver high quality service to all our customers.”

He also stated that the response to the business model from the customers so far has been overwhelmingly positive and has given them the confidence to replicate the Motorzone model all over the country.
