Michelin’s latest XDE 3 HD CV tyre launched in India

Michelin-ThomClark-picMichelin has announced the launch of its latest offer in the HD Series for commercial vehicles, the MICHELIN XDE 3 HD tyre, in India. This new tyre, of radial design, is available from April for fleets across India.

Designed to meet tough driving conditions of Indian roads, the MICHELIN XDE3 HD has been engineered using Michelin Total Performance, the company’s technology strategy to develop tyres capable of simultaneously delivering superior levels of performance in the key areas of safety, fuel efficiency, grip, longevity and durability. Michelin Total Performance focuses on improving tyre performance across all factors, instead of focussing on only one or a few parameters.

The new tyre has a block pattern design with higher tread depth for increased mileage. For enhanced retreadability and improved crown impact resistance, it has a new casing design with additional crown ply and bigger bead. A new and under tread compound profile reduces rolling resistance for improved fuel consumption.

Michelin-XDE-3-HD-picA new bead design allows a XDE 3 HD tyre to be retreaded multiple times. The tyre is equipped with the revolutionary Michelin casing and has been further strengthened with a new reinforced bead design with 50 per cent more metal. A new casing design with higher tread depth would enable the tyre to deliver better mileage. It is also equipped with a new round casing design and extra rubber for higher tread depth.

In India, Michelin has a dealer network spanning from Jammu & Kashmir in the North to Tamil Nadu in the South and from Gujarat in the West to Assam in the East.

“Michelin is committed to bringing world class products to Indian customers. Following the success of the recently launched XZY3 HD, this new MICHELIN XDE 3HD is targeted for national highway applications in India. We are confident that XDE 3HD with industry’s best combination of fuel savings, mileage and longevity will benefit both fleets and independent operators.”
