Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, observed: “Geostrategically speaking, Turkey is one of the key markets for our group. It is one of the largest economies in the world and, demographically speaking, is ideally positioned for further growth.”

Tayfun Yardim, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Istanbul, said: “Although Eurasia Moto Bike Expo is already very well established in its own sector, we still see substantial potential for further growth. We want to give Turkish companies access to our worldwide infrastructure and to help our international partners in their business dealings with Turkey and its neighbouring regions.”

Motorcycles and bicycles are a fast-growing sector in Turkey. Amending legislation in preparation for joining the EU and agreements reached with the Customs Union have helped Turkey to align its quality management with European standards and norms. Accordingly, international motorcycle brands have stepped up their presence in the country, as well as exports of two- and three-wheeled vehicles.

Eurasia Moto Bike Expo will be held for the eighth time during February 25-28, 2016, at the Istanbul Exhibition Center. Most recently, the international trade fair played host to 215 exhibitors on 20,000 square metres of space, attended by more than 112,000 trade visitors from Turkey and the neighbouring regions of South-East Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Central Asia. As well as motorcycles and bicycles, the range of products being showcased includes helmets, clothing, goggles, gloves, boots, tires, tuning and performance kits, additives and other accessories.

Eurasia Moto Bike Expo is supported by leading Turkish industry associations such as MOTED (motorcycle industry), BISED (bicycle industry) and MOTODER (trade association).

In addition, Messe Frankfurt’s portfolio in Turkey includes two further successful and growing international trade fairs – Automechanika Istanbul and Texworld Istanbul.

Comprising an area of 592,127 square metres, Messe Frankfurt’s exhibition grounds are home to 10 exhibition halls. The company also operates two congress centres. The historic Festhalle, one of the most popular venues in Germany, plays host to events of all kinds.
