Lucas Indian Service opens upgraded company-owned workshop in Mumbai

Lucas Indian Service Ltd. (LIS) opened its upgraded company-owned, company-operated (CoCo) workshop in Mumbai on June 20. It was inaugurated by Mr. Rajeeva Ranjan, Head – Technical Support, Tata Motors, along with Mr. S. Muralidharan, President, Lucas Indian Service.

The workshop is in a prime location at Prabhadevi in the city catering to OEMs and fleet operators alike. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as Hartridge AVM-2PC common rail test bench to diagnose and repair CR fuel pumps and injectors and an upgraded alternator regulator tester. The services offered include starting systems, charging systems, car diagnostics, rotary fuel injection service and calibration, common rail fuel injection system diagnostics, common rail system repair and coding of injectors. The facility is also utilized to conduct hands-on training programs for employees and customers.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Muralidharan stressed the BS6 readiness by the workshop to cater to a city with a high vehicle parc and at the same time ensuring quick turnaround time for BS4 which is the need of the hour for big cities like Mumbai. LIS has 21 company-owned, company-operated workshops situated across the country, and we are in the process of upgrading the facilities across all these workshops for BS6 readiness. LIS has always believed in ‘Customer Service’ as part of its mission statement, and the CoCo workshop is determined to keep up to its belief with ‘Quick Turnaround Time’ enhancing customer experience”.

Mr. Rajeeva Ranjan said that the Service TAT and responsiveness of Lucas Indian Service have clearly elevated in the last 12 months. It is now one among the top service providers of TML.

Key customers, including OEMs, suppliers, fleet operators and dealers, from in and around Mumbai were invited to get a glimpse of the upgraded workshop facilities. They also had an opportunity to learn from the experts the workshop’s future readiness for BS6.
