Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. (LMW) was founded in 1962, to indigenously manufacture textile spinning machinery. LMW, as a part of its diversification efforts, established the Machine Tool Division (MTD) in 1988 to manufacture CNC Machine Tools.
The company has a Foundry Division that manufactures and supplies high precision Ductile Iron and Grey Iron Castings, for both captive consumption and to customers across the globe. In order to cater to the requirements of the Global Aerospace industry, LMW also operates a separate division called the Advanced Technology Centre.

LMW exhibited 3 CNC Machine Tool machinery at the INTEC 2019, which was held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore, from June 6 to June 10, 2019. The LTV 50 M, Vertical Turning Center with live tool, has been in a long-standing demand from the industry users, who use it to carry out increased operations on a single VTL machine than use multiple machinery.
The LTV50 can be used for making complex components which have both turning and milling operations to be made in one setup. The machine is robust to handle heavy depth of cuts and comes with dual speed spindle motor for high productivity. The LL30TL7 is a versatile, high productive CNC lathe used for producing shafts and cylinders. The larger diameter spindle bearing and heavy-duty tool post eases to produce parts with higher depth of cut and feeds. These machines are suitable for automotive, defense, agriculture, forging, earth-movers and the oil & gas industry.
