With its first presence at the Auto Expo, KCI Bearings conveyed its capabilities in different types of roller bearings such as needle roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, needle cage assemblies and other precision components. “We are currently working on several new designs for which the OEMs give us the dimensions and specific requirements. We ensure delivery of long-lasting, quality products that keeps our company motto ‘We design for life’ high”, stated Mr. Bhavin Gadani, Director, KCI Bearings.
KCI Bearings has been supplying to leading OEMs in the commercial vehicle space in the domestic market for years. “We have been supplying to OEMs like Tata Motors since the last 30 years for their gear box requirements. The OEMs are our business partners and have helped us grow and reach to the stage we are today. We have all the capabilities required to handle large numbers as well as top-notch quality backed by our strong in-house research team,” he shared.
One of the USPs for KCI is that all the components of a bearing like the races – inner and outer, retainers i.e cages and the rolling elements i.e the rollers are manufactured in house. “We have our own heat treatment and cage retainer facilities. Full control over manufacturing translates into minimum warranty failures,” he explained.
The company is currently studying the requirements for electric vehicles and the changes that would occur as a result in transmission gear boxes.
