Alongside its diverse product range of components and systems for truck and trailer, JOST presents cutting-edge innovations and sustainable developments at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 trade fair.
The JSK 34 sensor coupling version of the ultralight JSK 34 fifth wheel coupling, which JOST developed specifically for tankers and silo trucks, was presented at the IAA in Hanover. For the first time, JOST presents a biodegradable high-performance lubricant for its fifth wheel couplings. It also offers one of the most comprehensive portfolios worldwide for landing gears and presents highlights from the JOST Modul series, including its newest member, OPTIMA. JOST also presented its Modul E-Drive electric landing gear which offers significantly higher comfort, work safety and efficiency.
The Easy Lift force-assisted twist lock is one of the highlights in JOST’s container equipment portfolio.
The weight-optimised DCA-T7 disc brake, the JOST Plug & Play solution for tyre filling systems and the JOST Twin Lift, a DCA lift axle, are new and was presented at the show for the first time. From summer 2018, JOST trailer axles in the DCA series are available with the new JOST DCA-T7 disc brake with proven twin tappet technology. The Plug & Play solution facilitates the simple installation of a tyre filling system, which is able to constantly maintain optimal tyre pressures, thus reducing fuel consumption and tyre wear and increasing the product life of the tyres. JOST Twin Lift lifts all rigid axles from the DCA range safely and reliably, resulting in reduced tyre wear and optimal load distribution.
The tried-and-tested, multi-award-winning towing hitches from the ROCKINGER brand was also present at the JOST stand. At the CV show, ROCKINGER presented the proven RO*50E towing hitch, which is characterised by its robust, low-maintenance design and its simple and safe operation. The unique RO*430 comfort coupling was also displayed. This towing hitch for 40-millimetre draw-bar eyes is not only slack-free, it is also equipped with rubber suspension and hydraulic shock absorption, features which ensure that possible impact stress between the truck and trailer is absorbed by the coupling. JOST also presented the RO*40CH in Hanover, a strong Swiss towing hitch with proven ROCKINGER release lever technology.
TRIDEC, JOST World’s brand for trailer axle steering systems and single wheel suspensions, presents the new EF-S steering system for trailers, which offers entirely new options for driving, manoeuvring and safety. The TRITRONIC model visualises the trailer management system with remote control for heavy-duty transport vehicles. TRIDEC’s evergreen product, the LV-O for double-deck transport, was also presented at the IAA this year.
The new, double-acting CD cylinders from Edbro, a further member of the JOST World, are the highlight of the hydraulic systems company and was showcased at the IAA. Edbro developed the CD cylinder range to optimise the performance of ejection trailers.
JOST is also one of the participants in the “guided tours”. These are events organised by the fair organiser VDA which are held at the stands of selected exhibitors and aim to provide visitors an overview of the most prominent topics at the IAA. The New Mobility World innovation stage will provide visitors with the opportunity to experience JOST’s KKS automatic comfort coupling system and TRIDEC’s EF-S steering system live.
