JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., pioneer of radial technology in India, launched its state-of-the-art ‘JK Truck Wheels Centre’ and ‘JK Retread Centre’ at Attur, Karur. The new outlet is JK Tyre’s 30th Truck wheels showroom, and 12th Retread centre in India, and is in line with the company’s plans to expand its network across the country. What makes the new Centre unique is the fact that it is the first one to have both JK Truck Wheels and JK Retread under one roof. The outlet is well equipped and is technically advanced to provide ‘Total Solutions’ to all tyre and wheel related needs of trucks and buses. The showroom “Loyal Auto World” was inaugurated by Mr. A.K. Badhwar, General Manager – Retread Business, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd.
- The new Truck Wheels and Retread showroom will be equipped to provide the best tyre care solutions to truck and bus owners. Karur being one of the most important transport hubs in the southern part of the country, the location of the new Truck Wheels cum Retread centre is such that it serves as an essential transport point and connects two national highways – NH-47 (Kashmir to Kanyakumari) and NH-67 (Nagapattinam to Gudalur).
Strategically located on the Karur-Erode State Highway, the new showroom is spread over an area of around 7000 sq. ft. and is equipped with best-in-class wheel aligner, automatic tyre changer, greasing pumps, and pneumatic tools set, and latest retreading and repair infrastructure to ensure end-to-end truck and bus tyre care. The company will provide value-added services to its customers and educate them on the advantages of retreading through JK Recommended Retread practice, for increasing tyre life and reducing the cost per km (CPKM).
Mr. Badhwar said: “Karur is one of the oldest towns, about 370 km south-west of Chennai and is well connected to Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai, Cochin, Pondy, Salem, Bangalore, and hence we believe the new Centre will be a success. This Centre underlines JK Tyre’s efforts to provide total tyre solution to our large customer base in the region.”
Last year, the company had achieved the landmark of selling 10 million Truck and Bus radials in India. Mr. Badhwar added: “JK Tyre is the pioneer of radials in the country and is committed towards bringing the best of products and services. This initiative is another step in providing one-stop tyre related services to our customers.”
