Iveco Group Appoints Simone Curti as President of Powertrain BU

Iveco Group has announced a key leadership transition within its Powertrain Business Unit, with Sylvain Blaise set to exit the company on 29 June 2026 to assume the role of CEO at Manitou Group.

Blaise, who has been with Iveco Group for over 24 years, has held several senior leadership roles, including leading FPT since the Group’s formation as an independent entity in 2022. During his tenure, he steered the Powertrain Business Unit through a challenging industry landscape, delivering consistent performance and strengthening its technological and operational capabilities. He will continue in his current role through June to ensure a smooth transition.

Succeeding him, Simone Curti will take over as President of the Powertrain Business Unit effective 30 June 2026. Curti will also join the Senior Leadership Team and report directly to CEO Olof Persson.

An engineering graduate from Politecnico di Torino, Curti has been with the Group since 2004, holding roles of increasing responsibility across both Truck and Powertrain divisions. He currently leads Truck Business Unit commercial operations in EMEA and brings a well-rounded skillset spanning engineering, quality, industrial operations, and customer management.

Commenting on the transition, Persson acknowledged Blaise’s contribution in driving innovation, efficiency, and resilience within the Powertrain business, while expressing confidence in Curti’s ability to accelerate growth, leveraging his cross-functional expertise and strong customer relationships.
