The ninth international exhibition and workshop organized by the All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) was inaugurated at the Chennai Trade Centre on January 19 by Mr. K.M. Mammen, Chairman and Managing Director, MRF Ltd., and Chairman, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA).
The inaugural function was attended among others by Mr. Ajay Shah, President, Polymer & Cracker, Reliance Industries Ltd. On the occasion, AIRIA presented the K M Philip Award to Mr. P.K. Mohamed, Chief Advisor (Research and Development), Apollo Tyres Ltd.
While, Mr. K.T. Thomas, Chairman, welcomed the gathering, Mr. Kamal Chowdhury, President, AIRIA, delivered the presidential address. Mr. Vinod Simon, Chief Convenor, proposed a vote of thanks.
The India Rubber Expo 2017 covered 25,000 sq. meters to accommodate the 400 Indians and global companies participating in it. The foreign participants included those from China, Germany, the US, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Taiwan.
On the occasion, an exhibitor directory of India Rubber Expo 2017 was released.
